What to expect during your visit:
Discuss Your History
We may ask you about your dental history, so you should be prepared to discuss past dental work as well as any changes you have noticed in your smile.
Comprehensive Oral Health Exam
We will check the health of your teeth and gums and examine any existing restorations. We will likely also examine your jaw and the way your teeth fit together. The oral exam allows us to obtain a complete picture of the health of your smile. If you have not had x-rays taken within the past six months, you will likely have some taken during this appointment as well.
After your initial evaluation, we can discuss your treatment options with you, so that you can make an educated decision about how to proceed.
Depending on your needs, you may also have a professional cleaning from a dental hygienist during this appointment. In some cases, we may recommend waiting until your next appointment.
